I started my CRX hunt in 2009 to become a new daily driver. I drive 140 miles round trip per day to work so my goals are to build a reliable, decent looking car that gets at least high 40's MPG's.
I found this 1990 DX automatic in York, PA for $800

The first thing I did was gut the blue interior and laid fatmat to try and control some of the road noise. I also removed the 3 in stainless exhaust and dual fart can muffler

Next I scavenge a half decent black DX interior and flawless Si seats

It then started to get interesting and pricey. I ended up spending $5000 in less than a week on parts and here is the list
Moog front upper control arms
Moog ball joints
4 new wheel bearings
Moog inner and outer tie rod ends
KYB AGX shocks
Ground control coilovers
Russell stainless brake lines
EBC green stuff brake pads
EBC rotors
rear drum rebuild kit
new ebrake cables
blox rear camber kit
PIC hard rubber suspension bushing kit
Drag dr16 silver rims
Cooper Zeon 195/50/15 tires
Complete Bosal exhaust, cat and muffler
1.6L SOHC ZC motor from Hmotorsonline.com
NRG plugs and wires
OEM cap, rotor, timing belt and water pump
new radiator
Exedy 12 lb flywheel and OEM replacement clutch
New axles
and the list continues on...

d15b2 motor and auto trans out

1.6 L SOHC ZC motor from hmotorsonline.com

New flywheel and clutch

refurbished rear bumper support

I then did a 5 speed conversion with a DX tranny I got for free
and this is how it sat for a while

I drove the car for a while but the springs were way too stiff so I swapped them out for a set of Eibach pro kit springs. Now the car rides great.
