I don't know much about this kinda stuff, but am trying to learn. Does an AFC (Air Fuel Controller?) do pretty much the same thing as getting your car tuned. If I'm correct in this assumption, I'm trying to decide whether or not taking my car to a shop and getting it tuned is a good idea...or buying...

Would it have anything to do with me washing/waxing the car right before this happened?

I'm not too far from disagreeing with you...however, I would like to get to the solution to this. Its an overall decent car, great shape, just old crap starting to fall apart on it.

Problem has been solved. I appreciate the input. There was indeed a hole in my intercooler piping. I just had it all replaced with hard pipe. It's been doing great in that aspect. I now find myself in another problem. My friend was driving it, and the way he explained it, he shifted into third, and ...

Where are all the susceptible spots for a boost leak to occur?

Ah, I was pretty sure I had tightened all the clamps down pretty tight, but I can check again. Also, does it sound realstic that a hole might've occurred in the piping, or is the boost pressure not that high?
