went to the shop yesterday...

as some of you may know, i'm on the verge of swapping a new motor into my car. my friends' mr2 has been in there FOREVER, however, so i've been waiting for a long ass time. the shop is owned by an old time friend (only he and another guy work there), so i feel bad pushing them as they're doing us both (mr2 guy and myself) a favor. either way, here are some pictures of the mr2 and a delsol that's getting a similar setup to my crx.

the manifold/turbo with the purple wastegate is a gt30 dual ball-bearing going into the mr2...the manifold at the bottom of the same picture is mine. oh, and the mr2 is quite dirty, as it's been sitting for nearly 7 months now. it's actually amazing when clean...

but yea, that's about it. i talked to my friend and he said that my car may be in after the delsol is done, instead of waiting for the mr2...he shouldn't have said that, he got my hopes WAY up.

That DelSols engine bay is dirty as f$%k! But lucky you and your snail!!!!!

yea, he got the shell for cheap. the body is in good condition, but the engine bay looks like shit. it'll be clean soon, no worries. his snail is a bit bigger than what i'll be running, but my motor will be built...

I always liked MR2s. I don't know what it is about them. I tried buying my friend's uncle's, and he wouldn't sell.

I was also at the shop yesterday picking out turbo stuff...I can't wait.

I considered an MR2 for awhile, I love them. That one looks nice, even though it's dirty it looks like once it's cleaned it'll be killer. Betcha can't wait to be boostin'!
