I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

its extremely easy, get a livecd and pop it in your computer and boot off it.

you can 'test drive' it and see if you like it, then go from there.

why order it? just DL and burn it. its faster :). also, you can setup a dual boot, in case you still want to be able to run every windows prog (sure you can get WINE but its still not the best for running windows progs)

Ubuntu is the shit! Maybe I misunderstood you, but Beryl isn't an Ubuntu OS, it's just graphical desktop ad-ons. I'm not all that great with Ubuntu, only been using it for about 6 months or so, but I don't think Beryl even works with the new versions (Hardy Heron). It uses something called Compiz-Fusion, that comes pre-installed. You would just need to install the settings manager for it, to add & tweak effects.

But the communtiy a great, especially on the official message board. I've asked some beginner question on there, and always recieved helpful responses very quickly.

Can I ask a couple beginner questions? What are the benefits over Windows (XP in my case), and would all of the same software work or would I need Linux-compatible versions?
