win.I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Re: Computer Talk with Nick Burns
hehe. yeah, OSX and Ubuntu are pretty solid. they are really difficult to crash. then again, i havent had windows crash on me in years :knock on wood: lol. i toyed with the idea of installing OSX on my netbook but i would need to go buy a copy of OSX, but if i didnt like it i would see it as a waste of $129 :S.
Re: Computer Talk with Nick Burns
i dont think i could go back to windows for my own personal computer. im totally converted to a mac. i was on my gf's parents cpu tonight to mess with some internet settings and i was so incredibly lost. i only been on a mac since oct.
Re: Computer Talk with Nick Burns
lol, it happens. i dont think i could switch to a mac for the same reasons. the simple things and accumulated knowledge over the years would no longer apply and i would just get frustrated. i suppose it would depend on what i was using the computer for. i could see OSX working well for netbooks because its secure and because of the limited tasks you do with a netbook it would be ok. i dunno, im not really a "fanboy" of windows or linux, i just like it when i want something to work the way i tell it to, it does. so whatever os can do that for me i like haha..saint wrote:i dont think i could go back to windows for my own personal computer. im totally converted to a mac. i was on my gf's parents cpu tonight to mess with some internet settings and i was so incredibly lost. i only been on a mac since oct.
Re: Computer Talk with Nick Burns
i was never a fan of a mac, i never understood how u could have a mouse with only 1 button and use a OS with no start button. but my GF always had macs. i never wanted to use any of them cause of how i hated them so much.
then i started using her systems more and more and realized how i liked using it more and more, i fell in love with keyboard shortcuts and the 1 button mouse (witch is now actually a 2 button mouse you can configure) the programs just seem to work for me. its a love or hate thing really. i think if people actually sat down for a weekend and played on a mac, they would convert. ha. my thoughts on that.
