I was doing my winter maintenance on the 600rr that included pulling the water out of the bike and disconnecting the battery to come to find this:



I don't remember this bolt looking like this last year. It is one of the drain bolts, specifically the one for the water pump. What I don't understand is how this could have happened unless I happened to some how grab de-ionized water and if that is the case, it should not have been this bad so quickly.

stupid science also snapped the coolant drain bolt off for the block. I hope it doesn't leak come spring. Stupid science

Have you considered pin striping over the white? Maybe some teal and gold stripes?
The murder look is really dead, but I think that matte colors are still good, even if you put a little gloss on it to look like enamel paint.
Just a thought, I think you've got a good base with the matte white.
