I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I have a 1992 Coyote Bullet racing kart with a worked Yamaha KT-100. It tops out at ~70 but because it only has a 3 disc wet clutch (no gears) it doesn't have much bottom end. The clutch kicks in at ~10,000rpm and the motor tops out at 17,500rpm. Once you get going about 35-40 the clutch is fully engaged and it will put you back in your seat. Does a U-Turn in 1/2 the road. People in cars just look at you when you go flying by. I'm thinking about selling it to get an off-road kart. It's no shifter kart but it is fast as tits.

You ever get rid of it...let me know. Would a 125cc 2 stroke fit in it?

The short answer is yes. That KT100 is an air cooled 2-stroke. I bought a '92 ninja 600 with the intentions to throw that motor into the kart but to be honest it would just be too big and too fast. Yes, I know, to some 'too fast' is hard to understand but there is such a thing. The Coyote, like most track karts, only has a single rear disc. If you get into shifter karts or gixxerkarts they have 4 wheel disc brakes which is most definately necessary. Though it isn't too hard to stop the Bullet, if you were to go much faster it would begin to get a bit tricky.

Here is an idea of the size and price of a worked KT. Mine has the same L&T wet clutch but also has the pipe it was blueprinted to go with. I'm still kicking around the idea but here would be the first place I'd post it if I'd decide to let it go. I'd like to get something bigger and off-road to put that ninja motor in.

Ninja motor would be rad.

I've been wanting a shifter cart for years now. I wanted to drop a 250 into it, though. Just for more torque for burnouts. I imagine a new 4stroke 450cc would be mean.
