this is more of a rant then anything. more or less about local kids/people here in the area and i imagine locals around you as well, anyone can chime in.
so... why does everyone who goes out and picked up a camera now-a-days think they are a legit photographer? there are kids around here who had no idea what a camera was, go out spend a G on a legit camera and before its even shipped to there house they are putting together websites to sell there photography services. i know camers and technology have come a long long way shit i still shoot on my 2.8 sony cybershot... well no i dont cause its broke. i use my iphone.
but it pisses me off to no end when im sitting around anywhere and someone whips out this elaborate camera and starts talking about 'clients'
to sum this up in a nutshell w/o mentioning names, not that this person is ever going to read this. i have a friend who knows this girl who is a 'photographer' i guess she shoots wedding shots and shit, whatever. her photographs are shot with like a rebel or something. very shadowed and just down right... very pont and shoot on auto mode with an expensive camera. this person always talks about flying from state to state to do wedding photos. its like..... seriously? people are calling you to shoot there wedding? there isnt a kid with a camera in your own state right next door who can shoot the same shots in auto mode on a rebel? why make up things like this? to make your photos look better? srsly noone cares u went to cali to shoot a wedding, specially when the shots are borderline mediocre.
