what programs do you use at school?
i think the only mac i would buy is the mac pro i think it is? the desktop one with the tower that you can get up to 32gb of ram in. i would max it out, but thats like $20,000. so i dont think i will buy a mac anytime soon. i thought about putting OSX on my netbook but i doubt that will happen too. its not that i hate OSX, every OS has its strong points and weak points. its more of a convenience thing, vista on my netbook connects so much faster to my home network than xp or ubuntu did. i have my big hard drives on my desktop mapped on the netbook and for some reason with xp they would never connect upon startup even with the option checked. I constantly had to re-enter the password, its a minor inconvenience but an inconvenience none the less. with vista it never does that and i think i know why. i think the boot order and timing of the stuff is different in xp and vista. i think xp just tries to connect to the mapped drives instantly, while vista waits for an internet connection, then connects. there are some issues i discovered with ubuntu 8.04 that were probably fixed in 8.10. i will wait until 9.04 is released next month then i will reinstall ubuntu with netbook remix. i was getting annoyed because i couldnt find any program that would let me do video and voice chatting with MSN users. the closest i have found with a stable program is being able to vid but no voice. skype works but i dont know anyone who uses skype. but in the end i think i will just reinstall ubuntu then if someone wants to vid and voice chat with me i will make them get skype. i really dont like skype at all to be honest, i can do the exact same shit i use skype for with MSN messenger so i dont see a need for it. i dont use my computer to place calls to phones so its pretty useless to me.
long post. woops. haha. oh well, here is my next purchase
