I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

back to work vent

Post by phan » January 12, 2004

it's about 7:50AM, january 12th 2004 (), and i find myself sitting at a desk rather than dreaming of her as i have the past 3 weeks. going to sleep 3hrs earlier than usual (not to mention waking up 4hrs earlier than usual) will take some getting used to yet again. christmas break was nice, but i imagine it's time to start earning the funds that will pay for my upcoming project...whatever.

saturday, i got a letter from the glendale p.d. (the notice letters after getting a ticket), but noticed it was a yellow letter and not the normal white. upon opening the envelope, the first thing i read is: "bail amount: 615.00." my face =   . so anyway, i read up and i find that dmv has a hold on my license, will suspend it if i do not comply, and will notify a collections agency if i don't pay that fine. why you may be asking? all because i never got a fix-it ticket taken care of (front license plate). yea, laziness has resulted in me owing more than half a $G to a police department...blah. it's a good thing a really close friend of mine (steven with the white mr2) is brothers with a sheriff. i'm hoping he can still write it off...:X

anywho, the bell just went off. it is now time to enrich the minds of our country's next generation with turbos and exhaust gases; they learned vtec last year.

until next time,
robert aka phan

Ouch dude, that smarts. You're a teacher? What subject?

I tried to forget about a fix-it ticket once, it was a 9 dollar headlight out ticket, turned into the DMV threatening to suspend my license and I owed 50+ dollars instead, but that's nowhere near your 600+, ouch.

Daaaamn. Sounds like something that would happen to me. Hope it works out. I guess we shouldn't shove those "fix-it" tickets in our glove compartments and forget about em.

I know how you feel about returning to work after a vacation. I've been back for a full week now. IT SUCKS.

the funny thing is, i have the ticket itself pinned on a cork-board above my desk at home as to not forget about it: Image being lazy really does suck sometimes. :(

and koto, i'm actually a teachers' aide at my old elementary school. a lot of the kids seem to look up to me (don't ask me why ) and are always asking about my car. the school itself is in chinatown, so a majority of the student body is asian. most of them know about imports and the like (a lot of initial-d fans too :)), so i just further their knowledge...haha.
