I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Image Image Image Image Image Image thats my watercooling project. yes, watercooled PCs are cool. basically works like the cooling system in your car. except the engine block is replaced by a 'waterblock' which clamps to the top of the processor. the waterblock sucks heat from the cpu, and dumps it into the water, which is then cooled by the radiator and 2 large fans that spin slowly/quietly. I dunno how many geeks are out there, but I bought an AMD cpu that runs at 1.73ghz. With this setup, it can run 2.3Ghz quietly, cooly, and reliably. ;) Only problem now is my board went out on me (not related to the watercooling, I promise)so I'm waiting for a replacement. Here is a few pics of what it looks like one its madien test run! let me know what you guys think.

That's just sick.

I'd put all of that time into something like that, get a virus, and ruin the whole damn thing. Computers HATE me.

ya know, sometimes I wish I had it as bad as I do for computers, for cars, but I've done well with modding my pc/beefing up hardware, cell phones, car stereos, etc, that I think the car stuff will come along, once I have a budget for it :) its just difficult to sleep in a room when you're pc has 10 fans that spin at 9000rpm, and put off a ton of noise. sounds like a jet engine coming at you. granted I love it, and how intense it is, but it sucks when you're watching a movie and the jet flyover is constant lol. anyhow, I'm done for now, ask me anything if you have any questions :)

That would suck ass. Regular computers are noisy enough.

I need you to check my computer out so I can quit using my girlfriend's.

pc is my everyday desktop, which I use for chating/forums/photoediting/webpage design and most importantly, gaming :)

specs are:
AMD Athlon XP tbred 2100+ (remarked 2800+ according to serials) running @ 2.3~Ghz from 1.73ghz stock speed.
Asus a7n8x-e deluxe (will be here thursday) the bios on the old board died.
Kingston Value PC2700 512Mb w/ ramsinks (this memory is for sale, contact me if you are interested), I know, I need dual channel stuff.
Sapphire Radeon 8500LE AGP 128Mb video (upgrading to 9600XT soon)
Ati Tv-Tuner VE capture card.
Onboard nforce soundstorm 5.1 DTS/DD sound
2 80GB Maxtor ultra series 7200RPM 8mb cache hdds running in RAID 0 (sata converters as well)
1 27Gb Seagate 7200rpm/2mb cache drive as backup
52x24x52x Memorex
16x Pioneer DVD slotloading drive
Custom watercooling (as you can see :) )
lots and lots of fans.

I think that covers it all. :)
