I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I'm in love

Soon, thejdm, I'll be putting the CRX out to pasture. I have driven the Mazda Miata and it is good. Test drove two of them today, as a matter of fact:

The first was a red 95 with a black/tan interior. It needed a new DS fender and had a few small rips in the seats. Power was so-so, though we couldn't get the clutch to slip, which is good. It had 80,000 miles on it and it showed, though under the hood was spotless. It had PW, PS, CC, AC. Not that I care...except for the AC.

The second was a 93, also red but black interior, black top. This one has no CC or PW, which I like. It has 55,000 miles on it and is immaculate, it was likely garage kept. Since it's a 93 it has a 1.6, but, you know, I couldn't tell. Honestly. The 1.8 had slightly better low end and better throttle response, while the 1.6 started out sluggish but dashed toward redline on top-end. I even broke the rear loose coming off of the highway, with the salesman in the car. I think I like this car more than the 1.8!

It's going to be hard letting go of the CRX. We've been through so much together. A heart transplant, three sets of shoes. Four intakes.

I'll miss it.

I'll be looking at a 94 M edition before work tomorrow, it's heavier but maybe nice enough that I won't care. It's navy/tan, more of a mature color scheme, less sporty IMO. Meh IDK, I'll see after I drive it how much I like.

Haha you know it B! I gotta learn to drive this thing in autoX, then I'll start adding mods. Since the miata will have less tendency to snap oversteer on me I won't have to worry as much about ripping my AS304s down to the cords. I need to figure out how to make my headlights sleepy.
