Alright. I'm going to post my progress on my house as I go (since it is all that I fucking do anymore) To date I have all of the framing done, the wiring is completed downstairs, and I have two more circuits to run upstairs. Half of the downstairs is insulated. And the floor has all of the plywood down (kitchen still needs skimcoat) Today I went and bought all of the shower fixtures, upstairs sink fixture, and the drain assemblies for both showers. I'm going to finish the wiring upstairs this weekend, and then insulate everything. I should be drywalling some of the rooms come next week. We're moving into it once we get the master bedroom, upstairs bathroom, and living room drywalled. I hope to get some pictures soon. I need to find my camera. |

I finished the wiring in the bedroom tonight. It's 9:30, and I needed to take a little break. I'm going back out to do the wiring in the master bathroom. Bathroom faucets are expensive. I spent over $550.00 on two shower assemblies and a faucet for the sink. Delta...lifetime guarantee. It's weird doing this shit now. Before I didn't know shit when it came to namebrands of faucets, etc. Hell...I didn't even know how to wire a house. Now I just went through over 1000 ft. of wire. |

I don't know how you're doing it either. I wouldn't have the first clue how to wire shit or frame a house. Pretty cool you're doing it all yourself. Mad, Mad props. |

Thanks, Koto. I always knew the basics about framing. I've learned tons more, though. Wiring is pretty new to me, and it's actually VERY easy. I'm sure I'll change my mind once I get to the kitchen, though. I'll try to get pics tomorrow. I have it pretty cluttered inside right now, but you'll get the idea. |

As of 09/06/04: Touched up the wiring for the master bath and got the exhaust fan working. Got wire run for one of two outside lights...need to finish that tonight after work. Bought flooring for the kitchen and bathrooms. Also bought 6" recessed lighting for the kitchen. I still might get some for the living room too. I also ran the power to the spare bedroom, but I didn't string the outlets yet. I have to get onto the plumbing soon because my friend is coming to dig the sewer line in three weeks. I still haven't found the charger for my camera. I think it's packed away in the garage. |

Last night I strung all of the outlets in the spare bedroom and framed the shower in the master bathroom. So all interior wiring is done except for the kitchen. Tenchu: My charger is somewhere in my garage packed in a box. Hard to find it because the boxes are as high as the ceiling. |

Hung 7 - 6" recessed lights in the living room today. (75 watt halogen each) Worked on the plumbing a little bit. More planning than anything. I have one toilet mounted. Should have both bathrooms plumbed by the end of this weekend. Also should have the drywall hung in the living room this weekend thanks to Pie's parents. I'm itching to get in the house now. It's really coming together. Oh, I also hung my outside lights. |
