hey guys, im thinking about getting a new desktop after i move, and i have 3 options, wanted peoples opinions. i am not going to reveal the brands as people end up being brand specific and i dont think it would give accurate results. so, here goes,

PC#1

20" widescreen monitor

Vista Premium
Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz
2GB RAM
500GB HD
Blue Ray drive
ATI Radeon DT 2400 Pro
Digital TV Tuner card
802.11a/g/n
built in webcam

price $2299.23

PC #2

22" widescreen monitor
Vista Premium
Core 2 Duo 2ghz
NVIDIA GeForce 8400GT
2GB RAM
250GB HD
DVD Super-multi drive
802.11b/g
built in webcam

price $2096.74

PC#3

19" widescreen monitor
Vista Premium
Core 2 Duo 2ghz
NVIDIA GeForce 8400GT
2GB RAM
250GB HD
DVD Super-multi drive
802.11b/g
built in webcam

price $2023.10

I mainly use my PC for multimedia like listening to music, watching movies or TV shows that I have downloaded, chatting, etc. nothing too extreme really.
it should be noted that i will be getting a PS3 so the blueray disc drive is not a necessity, but it could not be removed from PC1 to get the configuration i want, also, i dont think the TV tuner will be a necessity either as i will have a TV. it can be added to PC 2 and 3 for an additional $150ish. Also, hard drive space isnt a concern as I currently have 2 external drives, 200gb and 400gb, but the 200gb will shortly be replaced with a 1tb drive. If i wanted to, at the time of getting the computer if i dont sell the current desktop with the 200gb thrown in and keep the parts, i can bring my total external hard drives to 4, 400gb, 200gb, 320gb and 1tb. So if it were you, which would you choose? I am leaning towards PC2 as is has the largest monitor, as you can see these are all hovering in about the same price range. opinons welcome :D

I am gonna say number 1. Only cause the Blu Ray and 500GB hard drive. That will allow you to have the most music and video options.

would you still say PC #1 considering i will have a PS3 (bluray player, hooked into a TV larger then the computer monitor), and have 1.4tb+ in external hard drive space? i should have said initially, i do not store any of my music/movies/etc on my computers internal hard drive, they are all stored externally.

i say PC 2.

I would have initially said pc 1 but you have everything that that computer offers already, or will have it. no need to spend that extra cash when you won't be having to use it anyway.

PC 2 has the largest monitor of them, which is nice .. and seems to be exactly the same as pc3, but only 70 bucks more...

#2 for sure. If you're willing to spend that much more for option #1, then just buy #2 or 3 and buy some more RAM.
