I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I dont think the B series is a dying bread, it has and still will have a large following amoung people who dont have the money to do newer swaps or for modifing a standard B engine. Its just the B has matured....like a fine wine
The thing is the B is an 'old' engine now. Being based on the Rover (British car manufacture, nearly wiped out by BMW.You may have heard of it) K series engine which is very similar. Honda then developed the B from this base, which is a late 80's engine, even though very advaned for its time. This also mean its had over 20 years race development (which is where most performance upgrades originate) means its got the head start over the new Honda K series.
The K is a better engine. Its had the advantages of 20 years experiance over the B, better understanding of the physics of the engine, new materials and manufacturing processes and of course the help of computers. Its still in the infency of its life. With the developmant it to will become for cost effective and powerful.
In the British touring car championship there are a couple of Civic Type Rs pushing 270-290bhp from fairly standard engines (due to the rules). Mind you in 20 years time we'll all be wanting the new P20 engine and it'll start all over again!
Sorry, didnt mean to write an essay....

i would go with that if i was running my A3 in my ep still, but that only lasted like 6 mnts, but my good friends has that cn stage 1 kit at 10psi, with piggy back, down pipe and catback, and making 302 at the wheels.
i race him with my built A2, and he was at 7psi and i stated pulling in top of 3rd and start of 4th gear and we let off. (fun times) N/A vs. FI.
hope your friend get that shizzzy
