Short Shifter Problem

recently i bought a skunk 2 short throw shifter and ES shifter bushings. For some reason when i put it in gear specially 5th gear i start hearing a rattling noise and my shifter feels real loose does anyone know what the problem could be?, i thought it could be i need washers but im not sure, im about to go back to stock shifter and bushings the noise is annoying. thanks

The rattling is probley caused by hitting the exhaust. Mine use to do that when putting it into reverse. Occassionally still does, but not as bad, as I rehung the exhaust, which the shop forgot to do.

ya it is probaly hittin your exhaust, jack up your car and have some one put it in fifth gear and see if it hits, and if it is that could be why it feels loose
