Swapping manual doors with power doors

As the title says.. Im thinking of swapping the doors, just trying to see what else is involved with the wiring and everything. I was told by someone who did it, that all you need is the harness that goes under the two front seats, and then the window harness plugs into that and then plugs into the main harness behind the back seat, and just pop in a few fuses.. He didnt say anything about adding any kind of relays or running additional wiring.. Has anyone ever done this, or know much about it? I talked to my honda dealer and he said theres alot more involved, and theres alot of extra wiring. Not sure who to believe since the one guy has done it, and the honda guy probably hasnt.

oem motors? i used an aftermarket power window kit in my civic. its a spal kit. i ust used ctr door panels and civic SI switches to run everything... im not sure about OEM parts.

yeah, crank to power conversion.. Using all oem motors. Complete EX doors.

First, don't swap the whole dor unless it's the same color and you're confident you can line it up perfectly.

You need:

Power regulators
Power motors
Power switches with door panels
The green plug that is at the end of the body harness (yes, you can eaily make your own harness if you can get just the green plug that plugs into the underdash fuse box)
Power window relay
1 fuse

That's it. It's all very easyto do. I used the OEM pieces and just made my own harness since I had the green plug and didn't want to source the body hanress and have a bunch of extra shit.

When we did my friend's hatch later on, he had a whol body harness and we just cut the plug. After we started deleting wires we didn' need it was easier just to make our own. Be forewarned - fiching wires through to the pasenger dor is a pain in the ass. It takes a lot of patience because he holes you need to go through are at funny angles.

well swapping the whole door is the plan.. my current doors are rusting, and the guts need replaced anyway. The doors im getting are black, which isnt a big deal since im getting the whole car repainted soon. So as for the regulators, switches, and motors, thats all in the door..

So i need the green plug thats located under the dash? the fuse, and the relay? Then spend a day lining up the doors properly. What about the harness that goes under the seats to link the doors together? Is that all plug and play or would i need an additional connector for that too?

sounds easier than expeted.

You don't need an extra connector for the door-to-door connection, that's all taken care of internally in the wiring you are going to make. In reality, the green plug is used for maybe two wires at max (it only has six terminals). From the one dor to the other for the windows, it might be two wires. I haven't looked at the wiringin some time because I did mine some years back. On a side note, run the wiring behind the dash, not under the carpet.

yeah but acually EX switches. i helped jon ook em up and thye turned out great! ide get the SPAL kit its worth it

it took us what jon? about a hour to hook them up ??
