I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

spoiler or no spoiler for my coupe ?

Post by blingin' civic » April 06, 2004

I took the time this morning to take the spoiler off just to see what it would look like. I like it alot, but am pretty torn on which one i like more. I think the no spoiler looks super clean and sleek, which i am definetely a fan of. Plus, it looks like the rear end is lower now and accents the rear lower lip and the mugen lip more i think. But, then the spoiler looks more sporty, imo.

let me know what you guys think.

No spoiler, draws attention away from the lip, and won't make you any faster.

i cant decide, for myself, if it actually looks better or if it looks better just becuase its different than what i have now. I would hate to go through the work of filling the holes and having the trunk repainted to regret it later down the road.

.... i'm so torn on the decision. Maybe i will just keep it off for a couple weeks and put some plugs in, and then decide if i still like it or not. So far, i agree that it looks cleaner though.

I vote no spoiler.

Find out what it would cost to get the holes filled and the trunk sprayed. May pay off to just get a DX/EX trunk with no spoiler from a junkyard.

yeah, i may see if someone would want to swap with me first. Then if that doesnt happen , then i will start checking prices on a new trunk lid and how much it would cost to redo the original one.

im a fan of the Si spoiler, on my 04 civic coupe, i got a factory spoiler on, imo it levels out the car. makes it look like its down sloping. then again 01-04 model civic got the big ass end.
