okay i have a VIS carbon fiber hood on my 96 lx 4door,and i am havin trouble with my hood latch coming slightly undone at high speeds,i hate hoodpins, but im afraid its my only option,if i do buy them which ones are the best and possibly could i find them in black, gunmetal,or even bronze? |

sparco makes a good hood pin. a latch kind. i personally HATE hoodpins thye look terrible IMO. but if it came down to me needing pins. i think i would get the locking pins that summit racing makes. |

i had a cheap set of, like, 3a racing ones on my integra and they worked just fine! silver tho. i liked them because the pins always stayed attatched so you couldnt lose them. |

I have a Vis hood without pins. I don't trust it at highway speeds so I ordered locking pins from Jeg's. They are to be used with the factory latch and only supplement it, but they'll help AND you won't have big ugly pins. http://www.jegs.com go to the hoods section. They're around $25. |

Merritt's. They're pretty simple. the post just sticks up through and lock has pins that slide into the post. Here's the catalog pic...
I'm putting mine in the headlight brace behind the headlights. My latch holds fine. It's the sides behind the headlight that worry me. |

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE OE LATCH AS WELL. Don't rely on those pins alone to tie down your hood. I know all too well what can happen. |

Yeah. It specifically states that they are to supplement the latch. |
