I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

JSP carbon fiber trnk lid

Post by urbanracer2000 » June 04, 2004

I wanna buy the JSP CF trunk, has anyone here seen one? I'm concerned with how well they fit, quality and if it will match a VIS hood.

Anybody?????

i never seen the jsp piece. i know seibon (http://www.seibon.com) makes outstanding carbon products but the prices are a little high...

as far as matching the weave. im not sure but would it really matter much because its not like you can notice both weaves good at the same time. your going to have to walk back and forth from front to back quickly to notice a huge difference. just me 2 cents :2:

I'll have to check out seibon. I know you are right about who would notice the differene. But I would, I am the most picky motherfucker you will ever meet when it comes to cars. You can ask the old crew about the weird shit I've done. I once had an entire fender repainted because of one stone chip on my old car. And I'm not even building the civic for show

As far as matching ViS I think your best bet would be a company like Seibon. I actually think that Seibon is related to Vis somehow. FiberImages definitely wouldn't match.

I think you do buy direct from Seibon. I was thinking about getting their cf fenders.

I've heard nothing but good things about them. Their prices aren't bad either.

yeah i had a few talks from the guys at seibon i was actually going to prototype some carbon/kevlar products for them but they never came through with making them.. i was going ot order a carbon hatch. mirrors. hood and mirrors. but im going all oem now instead because it wont match my kevlar lip on my backyard bumper.

hey dwight i remember you from way back when u had the green neon. i loved that thing. i was rolling around in that red hatch. (same old car i have now just painted goldrush) by the way my names jon. :2:

Back in the day

Post by urbanracer2000 » June 06, 2004

Yeah, I remember those days of giant wings and chrome wheels, memories.

I wanna post some pics of my civic, but I guess I'm the dumb ass muscle head jock type, so if you could help me out, that would be cool. But first I gotta drag my ass outside in the heat to take the pics. So whats new up there in J-town
