Post subject:  Cheap Mods That You Can Feel

Today I put in some Energy Suspension shifter bushings (on the linkage) $11 summit. Also a Skunk2 weighted shift knob $45, I'm really impressed with how the car feels when ripping through gears. The combination of the ACT clutch, short shifter, bushings and knob works really well. Anybody got any stories like this?
$55.00 Well spent

Oh yeah, Broke a fucking stud off the head (just one that holds the valve cover on) My dumb ass was to lazy to look for the torqe wrench, guess thats what I get for so damn big
I'll fix the shit tomorrow.

Yep, might as well spend a little on the shifter, you have to use it every time you drive the car, after all. Money well spent. With VC studs, I also learned the hard way to never really crank down on them. Get it snug and then turn about 3/4 a turn more and leave it.

any bushings that u can afford to replace with polyurethane (energy suspension) makes a big difference. anywhere on the car. even down to the ball joint boots.

The ball joint boots? I don't follow.

Also, never, ever underestimate the feel of a good competition alignment. Mine is
REAR: 2.0 deg negative camber, 1/16 toe in
FRONT: 1.6 deg negative, 1/16 toed out, maximum caster.

It makes a world of difference behind the wheel.
