ok so me and my boss were at the junk yard this afternoon picking up some 420a's for the shop to make race engines out of and the one guy mention's . "hey you like hondas right? and i weas like yeah y then he goes theres a 99 dual cam down in that trailer over there. and i was like say waht> and he repeated himself then he says yeah this kid had a 96-00 civic and he fully built the engine and ran it for a day and it blew up. "im thinking timing slipped since i checked it" and i was oh man what a shame and the wierd uy goes yep his parents made hi return this engine and put his sotck one back in the car .

its a 00 d16y8 :twisted:

aem tru time cam gear
ported and polished head
stage 2 cam
new valvesprings
srp pistons eagle rods
posibally bored over im not shure and im not shure waht brand cam
the wierd guy quoted " man he dumped alot of $ into this and his parents madfe him exchange it for a stock one"
we got 3 engines for 600.00 do the math. man i love junkayrd shopping :D

will do i cant wait to take the head off to clean it and see whats really hidden in the block. :wink: oh yea i got a turbo kit too :twisted:

i got it today
the head is ported and polished
it has new performANCE valves and springs
stage 2 vtec cam

iit has a bad rod bearing which i ordered new ones todaY
THE ROD BEARING CAUSED THE KID TO RETURN THE BUILT ENGINE TO THE JUNKYARd and for me to pick it up for 200.00 w00t w00t

ps this engine has like not even 1k miles on it

should i go woiht ACL bearings or oem honda.. ACL are performance bearings.

its 2 am and i just got home from tearing my bottom end apart to have the crank miro polished due to a bad #1 rod bearing.

i pulled the pistons and there brand new. rings = new
everyhting is mint on this man what a setal i got.

anyways ill post picts. tommrow
