Apart from the first gear, I can hear an annoying ringing noise when the rev meter is between 2 and 2.5 rpm

It starts straight away when it hits 2 rpm clearly can be heard until 2.5 rpm

What can it be?

Could be something as simple as a loose heat shield.

Check the headshields near the oil pan and the one under the front seats.

One thing I noticed today was as the noise appeared at 2 rpms - I slightly decreased the accelarator and then applied it again, The noise disappeared straight away

I had my heatshield up front come loose and it did the same thing. At 3k it buzzed then stopped a little above 3k. Annoying as hell.

That's why I'm saying that's what it is.
