I ordered my new motor the other day and no it is not a b series. I know im disappointed too but i just dont have the cash to do a complete swap, and i just want my car back already. I did step up from a y7 to a y8 though so vtec should be a bit of a difference. I have big boost plans for the old motor including eagle rods and srp pistons. I havent decided on what sort of turbo setup to run yet but i need to get some more money before i think about that just yet. Or i am just going to save my money and get a b series i havent decided yet, suggestions are appreciated.

well, if the y8 isn't going to be your permanent setup, I wouldnt pour any money into it. Just build up the motor you are going to use for boost.

well actually i was thinking about that but i really need my car and i just didnt have the time to rebuild it. Plus i probably will stick with the y8 and say screw the boost. I will more than likely just drive it how it is, work a lil more and buy something different maybe an integra gsr or something like that, possibly an si.
