Rear fog light question

Post subject:  Rear fog light question
There is a guy on jdmu that has one for sale i am thinking about buying it. Does it only light up on a switch with the front fog lights on japanese civics or does it stay on with parking lights. how do you guys have yours wired up?

its actually illegal to drive around with the light on. its for bad condition weather ONLY. its to be used when you cant see more then 50meters infront of you. also it is not a JDM part! its EDM. all european cars are required to have a rear fog light. and actually if you want a real deal CIVIC rear foglight its built into the taillight :) the foglight you see mounted on honda's are either EF or integra rear lamps. intigration into the EG and EK chassis just makes for a different look.

the light is BRIGHT. and when its on it almost looks like a brake light is on.. wire them to a switch. i would.

hmm yup. same thing with the EDM Primera tail's. When we put Bzasters in, we had to re-wire it because the damn fog was always on...jesus its bright as fuck

It also creates enough heat that it will melt the lens if left on long enough.

i know you were. i just dont understand when ppl put parts on there car cause it looks cool and have no idea what its purpose is. ill admit to buying cool looking parts and whatnot. but im gonna research them first. just like when people say rear fogs are jdm.. that bugs the hell out of me. they are from europe, not japan.
