I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

sure, but the jdm bling factor has just gone thru the roof..

Rawk on CivicRacingGirl7 - rare, very rare, glass top CRX's are hott!

*I once thought of doing a custom glass top on my previous black 99 hb. Having the glass made would have been the most expensive part of it. - Scrathed that idea and went to 7-11 to play the lottoery... again*
actually, it doesn't add much weight. it weighs more than the oem dx roof panel, but i wouldn't doubt if it weighs less than a usdm roof with sunroof/motor. the glass is thick and durable, but it doesn't weigh much at all. either way, it's not like i'll be out dragging the car.

as for the parts, the glasstop was an option on the japanese cr-x. i found the glass panel on ebay, and it arrived in one piece so i was fortunate for that, as most don't get packaged properly for shipping. then i purchased the headliner and inside seal for it from the guy i got the glass from. a few months later, i found the roof skin (brand new) on ebay, so i contacted the seller and worked out a deal with him for it... he even through in a set of black JDM sunvisors with it. the only piece i couldn't get, since production of it ceased before i could get one, was the exterior seal. my brother knows a guy at one of the local glass shops, so he'll be fabricating a seal for it. i wanted to have that done by now, but between bills and stuff breaking on the del sol, i haven't had the time or cash.

anyway, we're hoping to have the car finished, with new paint, by the end of august, beginning of september, but we'll see what happens.
