I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

anyone ever break the crank bolt under the timing belt before. If so, how did you retrieve it back?
I saw some screws offer at sears, but I would make sense to have powerful drill too. How powerful does it have to be then?
thanks in advance.

possibly try an EZ out.. i know snapon makes the,,, drill a pilot hole in the middle of the bolt and thread the EZ out into the hole backwards... when it bites it turns the bolt out... since your threading the EZout in backwards thats how the broken bolt come out.. thats all i can think of.

Man, with something that is torqued as much as a crank bolt I would say take it to the machine shop. I think you'd snap an ez out in it...if you could get it to bite in the bolt since it's such a hard steel.
It took me three days to get mine off. How in the hell DID you snap that bolt?
I'm lost. I don't know how I would get that out.

if there is atleast an inch or so i recommend going to sears and buying there backout socket set . its basically an easy out but instead of drilling the bolt and going from the inside it grips the outside of the bolt. i wold have to see this to help n e more. if u get a the tool i also recomment torching that bitch to get it red hot. a propane torch would take years to get hot enough. u'll need an oxy acytelene torch.
