sealing rings properly

does anybody know if i hone my block using std. CTR pistons in a b18 block(81mm),will that interfere with seating my rings properly or will i run into ring sealing problems?

Hone the block to get a nice crosshatch on all cylinders, or it could cause the rings not to seat properly. As long as the cylinder walls are clean no bore is needed, if you are on a budget, just use a ball hone from autozone, or its faily cheap at a machine shop. If you are running aftermarket fuel management, get a wideband for the first start-up, or you could wash the rings. This is where most ring seating issues come from.

He's asking if the CTR pistons will cause a problem, but yes the block needs to be prepped professionally if the motor is to run right, not a job for an ametuer with a drill and hone..
