I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Honda engine weight

Post by trbobrk » June 28, 2006

Does anyone know how much the b18c1 or c5 weigh?

I'm like to know something relatively accurate as a complete engine except A/C, tranny, or any fluids.

That is way too much. Either the motor or I have to go on a diet. Anyone think I could strip it down to about 300? I don't need any emissions garbage either.

I've taken out my a/c, p/s, and cc - I've also stripped my interior of all panels and sound deadening. I'd say I've lost close to 100, probably about 70 or 80
