I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

h22, an insanely huge bore,golden eagle sleeves, 14:1 or 15:1 compression pistons, billet aluminum rods, insanely lightened crank, and so on....

to get those numbers ur goin to need a lot of "one off" pieces from companies that will run u a fortune, since most all motor drag cars make those kinds of numbers. then to even make it go down the track a decent times u gotta gut the ever living hell outta it,basically ruining the car so to speak.

[quote="kotomile"]I agree about the K.

That said, if you do decide to go B, realize stock B20 sleeves are 6mm compared to the LSs 9mm sleeves. A lot of CRVTEC dudes crack their sleeves after awhile. If you insist on getting 260 whp NA from a B, I'd start with a DART block, the biggest bore and stroke they offer (I *think* you can get 87mm bore, maybe that was Golden Eagle or Crower though, IDK.) Whichever route you pick, it's gonna take lots of cash and many headaches, especially come tuning time.

As for bling factor and being able to rattle off parts to people, seeing a K under the hood of an EK is bling enough to me, but then when you tell them it's a K24 block and RSX (or ITR) head, built internals, etc, etc, and it makes 260 whp (and you believe there's more to be had...) then they'll really be impressed. I know I would be. You ought to pick up the July issue of SCC if you haven't seen it yet. ]

Damn sounds like an awesome goal Jon! I know what you are saying about the B VS. the K. Something about a B series just does it for me. If you were to build a 260 bhp engine from a b series I would give you way more props than swaping a K series. Sure it would be the easier and more ecomonical choice, but your jon you love doing crazy shit. Building a 260 WHP B series N/A motor is crazy. Plus you can buy all those crazy JDM parts that we so jealously watch you get day after day. Go with the B!

because the swap is in it's early stages, i think the b-swap would be easier than the k-swap into the EK chassis.

b-swap is easier because no mount kit is needed, other then that the k swap is the same as any swap (with the exception of the wiring)....and for street cred the k-swap takes the cake now

i agree the bling factor of the K is high. i guess its the whole 'getting 260 out a B' thats really really wanting me to do this swap. + the price is around my range at the momeny for the b20. so i can atleasy get dohc under the hood for the time being.
.saint, the honda EK parts jdMuseum.

It's just like someone working a Dseries. Sure, for more money you can get a Bseries and start off with more hp, but they stick to their single cam.

K27? I've never heard of that. What's it out of? Is it extra bore or is it stroke?
