well im having problems with my 2step. while driving in gear any gear sometimes it thinks im in neutral and wont let me go past 4200rpm's and was wonder what could cause this. i have a short throw that sometimes feels really smooth and then sometimes it a royal pain and sticky. seems loose side to side while in gear. could this cause it to think it's in neutral and make it fuck up? or any sensor maybe? some days i have no problem and some days i have tons of problems. usually after a while of bouncing off the 2step the check engine light comes on then the 2step is gone along with what seems vtec like it doesnt kick hard at all. i need to figure it out i just got a new ecu thinking that the old one was shot but the new one does the same thing. |

it's a rich tuned ecu from ebay needed something a lil cheaper. i noticed a pretty nice diff from this one from the phearable.net one that was in there i listed my motor and bolt ons and they tuned it to the specs. just happens on and off. it's set up 4200 2step...5200 for vtec and 8100 for redline |

Check your clutch switch wiring on your two step. That's where I would look first. just run through all of the wiring. There wouldn't be a correlation to the two step and the short shifter feeling sloppy. |
