I finally have the green light on my swap. Since I had all of that time to think about it, now I can't decide. I'm definitely boosting it, so I was thinking LS with an Si or GSR tranny. GSR is definitely out because I think I can build a way stronger motor for way less. B16a also crossed my mind. Where are you Hybrids out there? What are you running and what do you think of it? |

munster... if your going to (build) does that mean resleeve?pistons?rods? i know you and if you boost it will go boom!(without internals) boosting takes mad money...you could go all motor but sometimes you feel like your wasting your time. let me know what your expectations are and we'll hookup a good setup. |

The ultimate plan is to build the B18b to handle boost... meaning internals. Now when I say that...I mean down the road. The goal right now is to get the motor in and get some other shit out of the way. I want my rear discs, seats, etc. after the swap while I pay the loan on the motor. Then comes the turbo setup. I'll just stockpile until I get all of the parts. You know how I do shit...I could have hundreds of thousands of dollars coming in, but only a dollar to put to what I want. You have to stop by. We'll go out for a few pints and bullshit. We haven't had one of those sessions in a longass time. 985 FOREVA. haha. |

yeah just stick with the ls/turbo setup but i suggest you only get the si/gsr tranny if your going all motor cuz their shorter gear ratio trannies....let us know how the swap goes....good luck Sal |

If boost I say b16a. For the mere fact that it has shorter stroke and if you blow the block its only 500. |

I have a 98 DX HB. Whatever swap I do I'm doing an OBD2 motor with a Field harness so I can use an OBD1 ECU. So if I do a B16 then I have to find a 99-00 Si coupe, and my luck with those has been horrible. |

Actually, ill get the website that carries obd2 to obd1 jumper harnesses. That way you can run an obd1 b16a in with an obd2 ecu. The only thing is it will throw a CEL because it will be looking for 2 o2 sensors instead of one. |

http://dynamicautosports.com is the web address, the harness is $250. |

I actually have a 4-1 header right now and an O2 eliminator and no cat. The O2 eliminator did a good job of eliminating the CEL. |
