I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

LS/Vtec isn't going to be built cheap considering what you have to do.

LS bottom end, dohc vtec head, whatever pistons and rods (ls are weak), head dowels, machining time, oil lines, etc. Depending on how far you want to go you'd also need block girdle, main caps, etc.

Then consider that the LS tranny isn't the best tranny for an NA setup. Ideal would be an ITR tranny or something else with an aftermarket LSD. $$$ there.

Putting an exact price tag on an ls/vtec setup is almost impossible unless you know what kind of hp you are looking for in the end. Any idea what you'd be looking for?

As far as guys on here with ls/vtec... sleepinonacreeper has an ls/vtec EG. It's his second setup.

LS vs. LS/Vtec...You're looking at $1500 or so for an LS swap. I'm going to say at LEAST $4000 for a basic complete LS/Vtec setup.

I'd get a C5 before ls/vtec personally.
