Post subject:  HF To Si Wiring Info

I just got a crx hf up and running...other than all the good words that describe 2nd gen rexs I have one bad word...TURD So I got myself an Si manifold and am in the process of getting a TB and an ECU. I noticed that the emissions sh!t is differrent from the HF to my Si and a few wires are different. Has anyone done this conversion or knows of any info on it. I tried searching with no luck. I was thinking of just giving a chipped Si ECU a shot but h0merow said that it would probably be dumping so much fuel in that the teenie tiny intake mani wouldn't be able to give enough air and it would burn an o2 sensor. j/w if anyone had any other info on this.

Has anyone ever tried putting an Si intake and ecu on an HF. The only reason I wanted to give it a try is it has roller rockers and 9.6:1 compression. So I figured that if I put an Si intake and factory Si Exhaust it should run half decent. Keep in mind this is a daily driver so even though a swap would be super easy I don't want to put that much time or effort into it.

it wont. the thing is the port size on the HF 8 valve head is FAR too small to accomidate the Si manifold. you will not gain power, you will not pass go, you will not collect $200. i thought of doing this back when i still had my CRX and it still had the HF motor but i realized that the work involved, etc was not worth my effort. not only would you need the IM and ECU, you would want to change the MAP sensor, purge solenoids, exhaust manifold etc etc etc. just get a d16a6, they are plentiful and cheap. hell my friend has one thats frozen that he may be able to sell you so you can rebuild it *COUGH* 14.86:1 endyn pistons *COUGH* :D
