Post subject:  engine ? dont move or delete. all info needed

i pikce dup a y8 block today and it has a #1 rod beaitng spun in it.

the crank is scored and i was wondering if a y7 crank will work in the y8 block.
as far as i know all D series r the same. 96-00 d16's have the CKPS "crank position sensor"
on the lower timing gear. so im guess ign a y7 crank will work.

if anyone knows or has a link to where i can get more info please let me know.

thanks!

Exactly. I don't browse each section. View new posts is where it's at.

They both have the same part number, so the y8 and y7 cranks must be the same.
