Post subject:  Motor swap and fuel economy

This may be a loaded question but a generalized range is a fine response, What type of gas mileage do swapped cars get, i am espically interested in EK's
i have a deal as long as it dont fall thru to get a type r integra swap a 97 b18c5 swap from a friend who is upgrading to a k20r, and i have a 96 cx hatch so what kind of fuel mileage should i expect? i know it depends on driving habits etc but i would like to know, i had bought a 4th gen hatch a few years back with a GSR motor and it got around 30 miles per gallon prob more like 28 but anyways, and how does the integra type R swap compare to a gsr or a b16b swap in gas mileage?
I had thought about buying the R swap and selling it b/c he offered it to me at a great price and just getting a GSR swap but i thought it would be something i regretting it i didnt put the b18c5 in, but putting the profit towards a GSR and having not much of anything in it sounds good also, but there are alot of GSR swaps around and i want something different, but anyway enough rambling does someone have any info or first hand info on mileage and swaps?

Well, figure the car the engine came from got, say, 30ish and weighed a few hundred more pounds than the car it's going into. Should be better off economy wise, maybe a couple MPG worth. Of course, your foot is the biggest determining factor. Once VTEC (or boost) hits the fuel consumption increases a lot.
