hey guys i recently just turboed my d series for the hell of it and i'm having some problems with it going lean when i get on it in the higher rpms. in 2nd gear it will start to go lean around 5200rpm and around 4000rpm in 3rd and 4th. i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions as to what may be causeing this or what i could do to fix it. the setup i'm running is just a 14b setup. i'm not running stand alone as of right now so i have a 12:1 fmu, missing link, and a vafc. i also put in bigger injectors(310cc). i also have a bigger fuel rail and pressure regulator but i have yet to put them on. so if you guys have any suggestion as to what i can do or what you think may be wrong let me know. thanks |

Put some more gas to it. Throw the pressure regulator on, pressure should be somewhere around 45psi at idle I think(not positive on this so someone correct me if im wrong). |

so with that bigger fuel rail i should be getting eough fuel?? Are the rc 310cc injectors large enough or should i go bigger? and possibly get a different fuel pump, like a walbro 255?? |

i guess the first thing is, how do you know it is leaning out? what do you use to register? |

well i'm going off the air/fuel gauge, the needle drops as far as it will go on the lean side. and if i stay on it you can feel it cutting out and the check engine light has come on once or twice when thats happened |

Install the fuel rail, or at least the fuel pressure regulator. Get a better fuel pump and a wideband. Get rid of the FMU, and get someone to tune it with the VAFC. But most importantly, for the love of god stop letting it get lean, unless you really don't care if you destroy your engine. |
