OK, well I have a d16z6 motor.. I took the head off to find 3 of the cylinders full of water and rust. Mind you its been sitting outside for a year. Not the best place i know. But I plan on getting the head cleaned, the valves seem fine maybe get them re-seated. My main question is, I have a d15b8 the 70 hp 8 valve turd. Would there be any benefit to putting the 16 valve head on that block. Would it be worth it? I read somewhere that the D15B with 130 hp is a 1.5 liter with the z6 head. Any truth to that? and would I see similar results by putting that head on? Thanks to anyone who can give me some knowledge! |

Actually yeah i'm pretty sure you can do this and it will give you like 10.8:1 c/r or somethin around there. Either that or take those d15 pistons and do a quick rebuild to the z6 for the higher compression. The d15 rods are weak but if its just for fun, go for it! You can search "d-series compression ratio calculator" in google and find out the exact compression for whatever setup. |
