I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Extended wheel studs

Post by Ninja » September 17, 2007

I will put 5 mm width wheel spacers on my Honda Civic VTi 1996.

Do I need extended wheel studs or are stock OK?

With 5mm you should be fine, but for safety purposes I would get some extended studs. It's all preference.

You don't need new studs until you're at 15MM but most people like to run extended studs or even run spacers with the studs already pressed in that go over your existing ones..

Even when it comes to extended studs you could run OEM Acura TL studs as they are just as long as the ARP studs, but a ton cheaper.. Just in case you wanted to get a quick cheap "fix"
