Post subject:  Tein Basic Coilovers

I was thinking about getting these for my 00 Si. Anyone have any experience with these or know anything about them? I was just going to get some adjustable shocks to go along with my springs, but i realized for $150 more i could get the Tein full coilovers. Is it worth it over just getting springs and shocks?

Any info would be cool. :)

In my opinion, it would be worth getting the TEINs over a lowering spring/ adj. shock combo. You would be trading ride-height adjustability for shock adjustability though.

true, and for not much more then the TEIN basic he could get TEIN SS which has the damper adjustability......i would say save a little more and get TEIN SS

agreed. if you can save up the $650 for some basics, why not save up another $200 and get damper adjustability?

save. it will be worth the wait. i personally think tein is overpriced now because of the blang and jdmness of them. they are a great product. but i personally want buddyclubs.

thanks for the info guys. So the basics only have height adjustability and no shock adjustability ?? If so, that does kind of suck. I really didnt want to spend any more than $700 so maybe i should just get some adjustable shocks and call it a day. I just saw the Tein basics and thought it was an affordable price, but didnt realized the shocks werent adjustable. I am already lowered on H&R springs right now so we'll see.

Shock adjustability is overrated. It should be used to fine tune an already competent setup.
