I've been having this crazy clunking noise coming from the front of my car when i turn sharp or let go of the wheel fast. Sounds like it might be coming for either the axle, or the steering column. I was idling in my carport today and was turning the wheel from left to right suddenly and letting go and it would clunk. Any ideas of what this could be? I hope I dont need a new axle... |

Its your axle, or balljoint. Most likely your axle. |

cv joints connect the axle to the wheels, its coming from the center... god dammit, i wonder what is wrong with my axle |

1) no you don't have to do both 2) depending on where you get it, there usually less than $100 after core, and most have lifetime warranty's. I recommend Napa. 3) Its not hard to replace, so don't buy a rebuilt kit, get a whole new axle, it will save you a lot of stress. Good luck bro. |
