Post subject:  Rota Wheels...Quality?

Well the tires are down to there last thousand miles and so which means new tire time so thought i might as well upgrade to a nice set of 16".

Now as much as i would love a set of TE37 in bronze, i cant afford it. (Cry)

So im looking at getting Rota wheels. Either Circuit 8, Circuit 10 or Grids in Bronze. However i was wondering about the quality of them long term?

I read in other places that the finish of them doesnt last and people have had problems with them even before a year is up.

Hoping you'll be able to share your wisdom :)

TIA

*Also if anybody has any pictures of these wheels on 6th Gen Civic Hatches id aprreciate it if you could post them!

as much as I will get flamed by some people - I must say Rota owns.

Their finishes are fine and its a quality made wheel

I concur, I've not seen any Rotas lose their finish. As long as you're not trying to pass them off as the real deal it's cool.

I had a set of circuit 8s for two years or so. Nothing ever went wrong with them. I didn't abuse them, but I did hit a few potholes. I didn't road race them either.

For the money...you really can't beat them. Like Koto said...don't pass them off as the real deal, though.

Cant argue with that comment then!! Thanks for the input, has put my worries to rest. And id never try and pass them off as something there not becuase you'll always get found out by someone and made to look like a fool!

Wonder if it will still be cheaper after adding shipping to the UK Tenchu?!

Would they be ok though for a bit of track use as planning on doing a few track days next year?

Also had a look on a website (cant remeber which but it was from a link on here) about the different Bronze colours. I understnad the Bronze and Royal Bronze but a bit confused as to the finish of the Royal Sports Bronze. Is it a gloss finish or is it more a satin / matt finish as the others look like?
