First off this is a daily driver and is not a race only car. Idrive it about 50 miles one way to work and some days have to dirve it during the day as well, i was going to do some koni yellows and eibach pro kit ( i beilieve it was the pro kit i was going to buy), my fiancia' has bought me the koni's but do not let that haqve influence on the advice you give, I want great suspension and everyone i see has coilovers, the adjustabiity is not a bid deal to me i would set them and more than likely never move it again after found how i liked it, so i thought about k sports and the setup i mentioned eabove, but every article i read on a ek it has some coilovers i have a 96 civic cx stock suspension right not, a swap is going in soon im waiting on a friend to get his k20 in so i can get his b18c5 but he is taking too long so ive been thinking about going ahead with a GSR motor and type R trans or just getting a swap from h motors, but the only 3 im interested in is the GSR, ITR or CTR and im leaning toward the ITR, i got the $ for whicjever i want but it seems almost overkill to spend the extra 1500 on the ITR but i want somethign different and i had a 91 with a GSR and wanted more from it( i bought it with the swap already in it) so im going to get my suspension ready for the swap im not looking to build the motor so buying a GSR and building it is out, i just like the ITP b/c it would make my car stand out and the obvious other reasons (im more than likely going ITR) i feel if i go CTR why not go ahead and get the ITR, so now on to my real question what kind of suspension do i need to handle this? i dont want to go cheap here, price is not the main concern but i dont want to pay twice as much as i need to either, i was pretty set on the springs/shocks but every build article i read is coilovers so its got me thinking, i mean im going strut bars sways etc the whole 9, i havent had the car too long and i was working some on interior but i got it to phase 1 pretty much i need a few small things like a steering wheel floor mats - ( install some other parts i already got) so anyway what do you guys reccomend please include ballpark pricing i dont want it slammed, i got some honda factory performance 16" 5 spoke gunmetal wheels that im wrapping in 205/45/16 tires thast is sitting in my house till i drop. Ive decided when i get suspension done if my friend isnt ready im going elsewhere im tired of the 86hp i got now ( im not pos of auctual numbers just some sarcasm) so help opinions please i dont want something too stiff for daily driving i want to be comfortable i m kinda worried thge eibach/koni just wont have the right drop and look off and if i had some coilovers i could fix it in about an hour or so, but i also dont want it to be a headache sometimes having too many adjustments isnt good either know what i mean? so someone please lend a hand here and help me out |

look into KYB AGX's for shocks, or maybe Tokico's if you dont want to spend the cash on the Koni Yellows. Ground Control makes excellent coilover sleeves, or if you want some springs, check out brands like H&R, Eibach, or Sprint |

I think the reason these 'jdm' guys get the full coilovers is because the coilovers are jdm. A lot of full coilover systems don't have full adjustability unless you fork over the cash for an expensive setup. Picking a spring for the swap shouldn't be a main concern. Pretty much any spring/coilover will handle the little extra weight. |

ok thanks the statement about the people getting jdm coilovers is b/c they are jdm helped alot i was just curious why everyone used them when i thought spring shock combo would ride perform better as long as you dont need to change the height of the car and that is what i thought u traded some of the better ride for the ability to raise and lower the car just my thought but thanks for the statement |
