I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

fender brace.

Post by .saint » March 06, 2003

i seen a few companies putting out fender braces. j's makes a set. alex and a-sports are a few that i know of. anyone been in a car and noticed any difference with them? i can see how it reduces some flex but im not sure if i understand the WHOLE concept of them. seems like extra weight. but how can it reduce front flex like that i never knew the fenders would give so much.

i think it might limit flex from the motor's torque... just a thought.

basically it reduces body flexing. it looks like it ties the inner fender to the doorjam. body flex is big when your hard cornering. sometimes u never notice it but if u got big horsepower under the hood and your scootin around and takin hard launches. if your good u can feel the body and chassis flex......but don't pay attention to me.......
