Post subject:  195/50 R15 or 205/50 R15 tire sugestions...

im thinking of putting the 205/50 R15 Falken Altenzis on the TE37s but i have no idea what to slap on the Mugen MR5s' as they will prolly be the everyday rims...

(TE37s for car shows... or should the MR5s be?)

any one know of a good set of tires that give better then normal grip but are good for everyday type driving? i have a set of Bridgestone PlaYz on the TE37s right now but i cant buy those tires when i hit stateside as they are Japanese only kinda thing and 2 of them are done for now anyways... thanks for the help

go with 195/50

also, no need to put the "R" in 19550R15, it means radial, and all passenger and LT tires are radial. ( I worked at a few tire shops and all day people were calling saying "I need a price quote on a.. lemme see, I wrote this down... Peeeee two 1 five... sixty... Arrrrrr 16 " It became a pet peeve of mine real quick :) )

The 205 will look too tall IMO on a 15" rim.

theres such a minimal difference between 195 and 205s...we are talking a 14 inch if that...just get 20's ..i've had falken azenis tires, and hated them (just my 2 cents). they were good for about the firs 5-7000 miles...then after that they were horrible.

are you looking for an inexpensive good tire?

hmm... the falken would be ment for shows or track... not much else id use them for... but i do need tires for dailies... rubber is really expensive here in Japan so spending $300-$400 isnt as bad as i thought as long as i dont have to do it constantly lol.... above adverage grip and not too expensive is what im aiming for

I've used my RT-615 Azenis at the track before and they really blow, i had better traction when i used Cooper Weathermasters lol. I still think they are a nice looking tire but if you want some traction i'd get another tire.
