I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Raze Wheels

Post by 93ludeSi » January 06, 2008

Was browsing one of my old super street mags and came across an add for kaneiusa.com. considering i am in the market for buying wheels for the spring this add caught my eye because of a set of raze wheels. Raze R74's, they look like TE37's but i have found them for about $160 a wheel and actually in 4X114 in a 17" wheel. The company seems to be pretty legit (make fujitsubo exahuast) but i was wondering if anyone else has seen/heard of this wheel company.

My choice is pretty much between these Raze R74's (Gold) or a set of Tenzo DC6's (Gun Metal) unless i stumble across something else in the next month

yeah, they do remind me advans also. was thinking more volks cause there is a lotus exige on TE37s on the next page in the issue (SS: NA vs Boost issue, Aug 2007 pg 59) also they have a S2K with these R74's with a angled shot in the mag which shows a better picture of the offset. They do have a little deeper lip then the TE37's though but they have 3 dif offsets available so not sure how much that changes based on the dif offsets.

Feel free to give opinions on the wheels also. i personally cant really decide and am unsure of how i feel about the polished lip. also the gold has been hit and miss with me so kinda undecided about color also. the R74 come in Gun Metal also but stil have a polished lip. Am open to opinion on other wheels but want a 17" maybe 16" but with the prelude i need a 4x114 which keeps me limited.

yeah the Tenzo remind me of advans and the Raze kinda remind me of Volks.

cant really tell but the R74's actually have a pretty deep lip, deeper than any TE37's i have seen but i kinda like it. Just really undecided about getting a polished lip. The Tenzo's i have been looking at all summer though and have been stuck on them for a while and considering i dont plan on spending more than $1500 on wheels/tires i wont be going with any Advans or Volks any time soon. would be nice but i just cant see paying more for the wheels than i did the car until i get out of school and can actually afford to do something like that.

feel free to give opinions though, if i was completely decided i wouldnt have made this thread;)

That wasn't an option though..

But since we're on the subject, you should buy my 17" 4x114.3 CPRs =)

SS, mind putting some background with your post, would be nice if you had a previous post or experience or others who have posted about them rather than making a statement like you did. im sure your post might have some kinda of background to it. either way go be a dick on honda-tech but try not to ruin thejdm for people.

cacky thank but no thanks. they are nice wheels but not really what im looking for.
