now as some of you know I have wanted some SBC Advan RGII rims for a while. You may also know I have been debating that color only because I was not sure how it would look on a silver car. I did add some black to the car to offset the color such as JDM MR head and tail lights, a JDM IX rear bumper, and cf side spats and lip. But I finally found some pics of some SBC Advan RS (not RGII) on a silver EVO. Now with a drop and some black parts I think it would look hot, especially with the less blingy 6-spoke RGIIs. But what do you guys think??? Please give some input on this color scheme... EDIT: Added some RGII pics as well. Those are what I was leaning towards.
and just for fun:

A lot of people do, but I like the 6-spoke better. If I got these RS rims I would get them in the dark gunmetal color. Too bad the RGIIs do not come in that color, only this black chrome, silver, and gold in 18 inch. |

it seems everyone is still 50/50 on this as am I. Half my friends tell me to get the chrome RGIIs as well as my gf. The other half of my friends and a lot of the EVO guys on my other board tell me to get the gunmetal RS. If the RGIIs only came in the gunmetal color! Ahhh! This is frustrating! I dont really like the multi-spoke RS wheels but dont really know if I like the chrome as above. One thing is for sure though, not chrome RS. Either chrome RGII or gunmetal RS. Decisions, decisions. And I thought I already made up my mind till I saw these new pics today.... |

They're just wheels. Buy them, rock them, sell them. You're not tatooing them on your body. |

Im feeling the 6 spokes, in a dark color, preferrably black or gun metal if available. If you could find a used set you could always powder coat them the color you want. |

True but here is the thing. SBC RGIIs at the current cheapest price are $2,325. Then add around $800 for some 255/35/18 tires. That is some serious cash for a guy like me (maybe not some rich kid though). The RS I just got a quote on from a shop that has one set in stock. $1,950 shipped. Then add $800+ for tires. So either way we are talking some serious money. And for that reason I am treating this like a "tattoo" because that is a lot of money to drop on something unless you are 100% happy. Some kid in PA has a set of used gunmetal RS with a little curb damage for $1,400. I am going to see what it might cost to have that touched up. |
