Post subject:  new exhaust/muffler time.

well tuesday i seperated my n1 canister from the piping. and now im in the market for something new.... the n1 canister was way 2 big to begin with...

i was considering a new full catback system but its way 2 expensive so i think im just going with a muffler to bolt onto the existing N1 piping. as long as the canister isnt as big as the n1 ill be in good shape... here is the canister i was considering...

do you think this will look alright with the n1 angled exit?? Image it will have an angled exit and the angled dump. but more then likely the dump will end up going straight out the back instead of dumping down due to the crazy piping of the n1.

if it looks 2 hellish i was thinking of just getting the axle back custom fab'd so the muffler would sit right and angle down... some input please...

anyone run this muffler or heard anything about it? its an evotion (part # TOUEV803).
if its 2 hellish ill ebay it and pick up a apexi world sport. or spoon axle back.

Whatever you do, don't angle the muffler down, imo. It looks horrible (again, imo)

I say throw it up there and if it doesn't look right get the smaller N1 canister.

angle it down? you meen be like a ricer that cuts the OE pipe near the bend and attaches a muffler with a pipe clamp? then it happens to point at the ground... thats a pet peve of mine.

when i say angled down i ment the tip faces the ground. clear things up.

I actually like that canister.

Your N1 is definitely too low. I'd take the car to an exhaust shop (Ark's in Strongstown is awesome), see what they think they could do, then go from there with what canister to buy.

i decided against the evotion muffler.

im tossing up 2 at the moment. the spoon n1 axleback or the apexi world sport cat back. i was talkint to tenchu about the spoon muff and he was hearing horror stories about the quality of it. he was reading that it falls apart and its pretty much junk. anyone want to comment? thanks.

Never heard anything about the spoon muffler, but I've heard alot of good about the world sport exhaust. Whatever you get...go stainless. I'll never waste my money on a non-stainless exhaust again.

i think we should fab our own pipe and make it into the shape of a giant dong and just run it out the back of your hatch. but if that dosent work then get that one but dont make it rice-ish
