I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Logging in/ Staying logged in

Post by CivicSpoon » January 27, 2009

Anyone else having any issues with logging in or staying logged in here? It's impossible for me to login unless I delete my cookies every time. And when I get on the site, it says I logged in until I click a link outside of "thePortal". Once I click on another link (like "theForum"), it says I'm logged out, and I have to delete my cookies to log back in. Just curious if anyone else is having this same issue, or if it's just user error

ive been having the same problem... for a while i couldnt log on and everytime i tried it would log me off. now that ive logged on let me see if its still doing it.

found out the problem!

if you are using Internet Explorer and you have saved the link under your favorites you need to delete that link and go to "www.thejdm.com" log in at the main page selecting "remember me" and then make a new "add to Favorite" link where ever on the site you want to be when you click it. after youve done this when ever you click the site you should be logged on.

dont know if this was said or not already but thats the fix i found.

Mine was solved when I started coming to http://www.thejdm.com instead of using my /forum link.
This is for IE on PC. My iPhone still won't stay logged in.

the cookie settings were updated today and was giving most if not all of us some problems today for a few hours.

the guy that converted thejdm to phpbb hooked it up today once again with the right cookie settings for the new server. if you, or someone you know is having problems staying logged in, clear your cookies and cache for your browser.

77 as for the iphone. i was having the same problems, you need to go into the settings > safari > clear history & clear cache. its working just fine for me now. evert browser that i have tried is working fine, Opera, Safari, and Firefox (on a mac so i cant use IE, i refuse to use IE actually) but yet, if you IE guys were having problems before, you should be squared away now.
