well said man, i respect your answer and you for taking it like a mature man. great convertion.Bzaster wrote:I never thought Primeras were really special. There definitely isnt a craze for them anywhere near me, nobody ever even knows what kind of car I have. I got one 3 years ago for cheap as an upgrade from an 87 toyota tercel. However, primeras, in the US at least are quite rare, have great suspension and greater possibilites. They lack power but sr20det and sr20ve engine swaps are available. They really arent that special and I have never experienced any primera craziness, but get into the twisties and most cars cant keep up with mine with the suspension setup I have. Trbobrk's suspension is even better, I bet he can corner like it's nothing.yUkiO wrote:i just want to know.... im just curious. what is so special about primeras? i dont need to be school about nissan primeras bcoz i know all about it. i just want to know what is up with the primeras and the craziness about it, this is just my honest opinion, its nothing great to me. sorry to upset anyone it is not my intention. clean convertion though.
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
First pics of my car! Nissan JDM goodness!

Not much. I'm sure you could come up with a list of reasons why a particular car is awesome or sucks no matter what the car. Here is why I like the primera.yUkiO wrote:i just want to know.... im just curious. what is so special about primeras?
Rare...
Engineering was good but the marketing in early 90s sucked so there are only a limited amount of g20s in the US, and only a handful of people have converted the the jdm or euro version primera. I like having a unique car.
Build quality and suspension...
I know a lot of you honda guys have double wishbone stuff that handles great. But as far as nissans go, most have craptastic outdated designs. The primera/g20 have multilink front, parallel link rears, fully independent. Even though it is FF it is fairly well balanced and doesn't understeer.
Racing heratige...
The car was designed to be a compact touring sedan for europe to compete with the vectra, accord, mondeo, s40, and the like. It raced in BTCC durring what is considered the best years of saloon car racing. BTCC unlike many racing series have cars that are very similar to the road going versions becasue they are built straight from the standard car, with mimimal mods to the fenders to fit the huge 19in wheels required to go over the huge 380mm brakes. No greater than 2L N/A powerplant, a small front lip and rear spoiler are the only non stock aero parts allowed. In 99 it won the championship, and the privateer championship in 99 and 00.
So here is my primera. It started life as a G20, but all the g20 parts have been replaced with thier jdm or european counterparts. It has taken a couple years to buildup, my original idea was to make it look like a touring car but now that it is done I think I'm give it a new paintjob an just go back to just a primera without the racecar markings.Bzaster wrote:Heck ya, post some pics of your ride trbobrk.
